A part-time COTA opportunity is available in an elementary school setting in Elgin, IL, serving early childhood blended and self-contained classrooms. This contract position runs from January 5, 2026, to May 19, 2026, with a commitment of 15 hours per week during the normal school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate student participation in classroom activities by supporting fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
  • Modify tasks or environmental factors to accommodate individual student needs.
  • Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as needed.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations.
  • Develop and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other team members regarding student progress and areas needing support.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold or be eligible for an Illinois state license for COTA.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving ability in a dynamic school environment.
