This position offers an opportunity to provide specialized occupational therapy services within a dynamic K-12 school environment, supporting student success and development. The role is based in Ellicott City, MD, and is designed as a contract-to-hire opportunity spanning the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Assess student needs and develop tailored intervention plans to support physical, sensory, and fine motor skills required for educational success
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote inclusive learning environments
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student goals

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with a focus on pediatric and school-based practice
  • Experience engaging with K-12 students and adapting strategies to diverse developmental needs
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with educators, families, and clinical staff
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and provide measurable outcomes
  • Knowledge of current school therapy protocols and IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) regulations
