Occupational Therapist School Setting in Escondido, CA

A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide support within a K-12 school setting in Escondido, CA. The role is initially scheduled from the start date within the next one to two weeks through winter break, with potential extension into 2026 based on needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to students across kindergarten through 12th grade, supporting their physical and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct evaluations and document student progress in compliance with educational and clinical standards.
• Adapt therapy activities to support academic goals and promote student engagement.

Qualifications:

• Valid OT or COTA license or certification appropriate for school-based therapy.
• Experience working in educational settings, preferably with K-12 students.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to start promptly and commitment through at least the winter break timeframe.
