A full-time, contract Occupational Therapist role is available supporting K-12 students in a school setting near Fortson, GA. This position offers the opportunity to deliver essential therapeutic services within an educational environment, contributing to the developmental success of children across various grade levels.
Location: Fortson, GA
Employment Type: Contract (January 1, 2026 – May 21, 2026)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Caseload: Determined based on candidate experience and district needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to school-aged children
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students in enhancing their functional abilities for academic and daily living tasks
- Document therapy sessions and progress reports accurately and timely
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Georgia Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Minimum of one year clinical experience in OT, preferably including pediatric populations
- Experience within school settings is highly advantageous
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) candidates with relevant school experience will be considered favorably
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
