A school-based occupational therapist is needed for a full-time contract position serving an elementary school setting with a caseload spanning kindergarten through 8th grade. This role offers the opportunity to support students in developing the skills necessary for academic success and daily functioning within the school environment.

Located in Fremont, CA, this position is scheduled from ASAP through April 3rd, with the possibility of extension. The therapist will work closely with students, educators, and other support staff to provide individualized therapy services tailored to each student's specific needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans for students
  • Implementing therapeutic interventions to address motor, sensory, and fine motor challenges
  • Collaborating with teachers and parents to integrate strategies into the classroom and home environments
  • Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with educational and health regulations
  • Participating in team meetings to support student success and accessibility

Desired qualifications and experience:

  • Valid occupational therapy licensure and certification
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children, preferably in elementary or K-8 settings
  • Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively and adapt to changing student needs

Compensation is competitive, ranging from $55 to $70 per hour, commensurate with experience.
