An opportunity is available for an experienced candidate to provide essential services in a K-12 educational setting located in Fayetteville, NC. This contract position runs from August 12, 2025, to May 22, 2026, requiring a dedicated professional to support students' therapeutic needs for 37.5 hours a week, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina Occupational Therapy License
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Commitment to collaborating with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with school staff to integrate therapeutic activities into the classroom
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain documentation in compliance with school policies
- Engage with families to support their understanding and involvement in the therapy process
