A contracted Occupational Therapist position is available to provide leave coverage within a K-12 school setting in Eastern Colorado. This itinerant role focuses on delivering services across multiple school districts and programs, offering flexibility to complete paperwork, planning, and IEP meetings remotely if desired. Preference is for in-person service delivery, with remote options considered only if no in-person provider is filled by November 1st.

Position Details:

  • Location: Eastern Colorado (primary schools include Limon, Hugo, Burlington, Flagler, Woodrow, Anton, and Karval)
  • Dates: January 5, 2026 – March 23, 2026
  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Caseload: Varies by location, ranging from 0 to 13 students per site; total caseload spread across several districts and school types including elementary, middle, high school, and center-based programs
  • Onsite presence is required for service delivery unless remote arrangements are approved

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings, preferably K-12
  • Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple locations
  • Familiarity with IEP development and compliance within school systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate services and collaborate with educational teams
  • Flexibility to adapt to in-person and remote work environments as necessary

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students identified with needs across multiple school districts
  • Conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, parents, and staff
  • Maintain timely documentation, paperwork, and compliance with school guidelines
  • Travel regularly between assigned schools within the designated area
