A full-time occupational therapy position is available working with students aged 3 to 22 years with mild to severe multiple disabilities in a K-12 school setting. This role requires expertise in administering the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments and offers a dynamic, itinerant caseload across multiple sites. The position demands a self-directed therapist comfortable working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students with multiple disabilities, utilizing BOT-3 and Peabody assessment tools.
- Travel to approximately seven different school sites during the workweek to deliver therapy services; mileage reimbursement is not provided.
- Develop and manage a flexible schedule aligned with district needs to maximize service delivery.
- Manage a caseload with fluctuating student numbers requiring assessments, consultations, and direct therapy; no cap on caseload size.
- Use assessment data effectively to address parent concerns and support recommendations for services.
- Work independently without the presence of additional OTs on-site.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy or extensive clinical experience working with pediatric populations.
- Competence in administering BOT-3 and Peabody assessments to students with a range of disabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload across multiple locations.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with parents, educators, and other stakeholders.
- Valid OT licensure and credentials as required by state regulations.
Location: Irvine, California, with travel required to multiple sites within the region.
