An educational occupational therapist is needed to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a school setting located in Jasper, AL. This contract position spans the academic year, offering a flexible schedule to accommodate student needs and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to 11 students, focusing on individualized needs.
- Deliver up to 20 hours per week during the first month to address make-up sessions, transitioning to approximately 15 hours per week for the remainder of the school year.
- Maintain detailed progress documentation using a personal tracking system.
- Communicate progress updates to the designated special education case manager.
- Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) or eligibility meetings only under exceptional circumstances.
- Utilize a provided workspace on-site.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist experienced in school-based therapy.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and special education protocols.
- Strong organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation.
- Ability to independently track and report student progress effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators and administrators.
Location: Jasper, Alabama (onsite)
