An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated professional specializing in school-based therapy. This full-time position is situated in Elgin, IL, within a K-12 educational setting, where you will play a vital role in supporting students' developmental needs from August 2025 to May 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate student participation in classroom activities, focusing on fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
- Modify tasks or environmental settings to align with individual student needs.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and testing as required.
- Produce clear and comprehensive reports based on student assessments and observations.
- Develop and uphold IEP objectives and accommodations.
- Collaborate with parents and colleagues to discuss student progress and necessary support areas.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois state license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt to changing situations.
