A K-12 school in Kamiah, ID is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to support a diverse group of 28 students with varying needs. This contract position will run for the current school year and offers approximately 15 hours per week. The role focuses primarily on elementary students, with some middle and high school involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy services that address the developmental and functional needs of students.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Work closely with a designated para to assist in therapy sessions and classroom support.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure with experience in school-based settings.
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly elementary age groups.
- Strong understanding of diverse educational and therapeutic needs across developmental stages.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with paraeducators, teachers, and families.
