This opportunity is for a full-time Occupational Therapist to support a K-12 school district on a long-term leave of absence (LOA) contract in Lakeport, CA. The position runs throughout the current school year, providing vital therapeutic services to students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to individual student goals.
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Participating in meetings and providing consultation to promote student success and school-wide support.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state special education regulations, including IDEA.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively support students and collaborate with school staff.
