School Occupational Therapist - Lakewood, Washington

Providing occupational therapy services in an elementary school setting, this full-time, in-person assignment offers an excellent opportunity to support the developmental and educational needs of students from Pre-K through 12th grade. This contract runs for the 2025-2026 school year, spanning from September 3, 2025, to June 16, 2026, with a workweek of 35 hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to students’ individual educational plans (IEPs).
• Collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals within the school environment.
• Managing a caseload of approximately 50 students, covering a range of ages and developmental needs.
• Utilizing expertise in home health, healthcare, teletherapy, and school-based OT practices to optimize student outcomes, with a focus on in-person service delivery.

Desired qualifications include:

• Valid occupational therapy licensure and relevant certifications.
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy settings, preferably with a diverse student age range from Pre-K to 12th grade.
• Strong skills in planning and implementing effective therapy strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an educational team and engage with families.
• Commitment to on-site service delivery; virtual sessions are not part of this contract.
