A K-12 school in Lawrenceville, VA is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist to join their team on a contract basis for the current school year, with an anticipated assignment duration from ASAP through May 20, 2026.

This role involves providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to a caseload of 50-60 students within the school setting. The therapist will utilize both in-person and teletherapy methods to support students’ developmental and functional needs, fostering their success in academic and daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized occupational therapy services in alignment with students’ IEP goals.
  • Perform assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for students aged K-12.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Utilize teletherapy techniques effectively alongside traditional therapy approaches.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines and school policies.
  • Monitor and adjust interventions to ensure optimal student outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant credentials for school-based practice.
  • Experience working within K-12 educational environments preferred.
  • Proficiency in delivering teletherapy services and integrating them with in-person therapy.
  • Strong caseload management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and organize workloads.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families.
  • Familiarity with IDEA regulations and special education programming.
