This position offers an opportunity for occupational therapy professionals to support students in a K-12 school setting. The role is designed for either an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) interested in delivering high-quality therapeutic services that enhance student growth and development.
Location:
- Based in Litchfield, MN, with specific work sites to be determined.
- The COTA position is multi-building, serving both elementary and secondary schools.
Schedule and Hours:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- OT hours are either 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
- The role follows the school calendar year, offered on a contract basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to support students’ educational goals.
- Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to integrate strategies into classroom activities.
- Documenting student progress and maintaining compliance with state and school district guidelines.
- For COTA role, delivering direct therapeutic services across multiple school buildings, addressing needs at both elementary and secondary levels.
Qualifications:
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of Minnesota.
- Experience working in school-based occupational therapy preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate within educational teams.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs.
