Occupational Therapist School Setting in Los Alamos, NM

A certified Occupational Therapist is needed for a full-time, contract position at a high school in Los Alamos, NM. This role requires hands-on experience in school-based occupational therapy and the ability to write Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The position is onsite, providing direct support to students and collaborating closely with educational staff to enhance student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to high school students in an educational setting.
• Develop, implement, and document IEPs according to state and federal guidelines.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to support student progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of student services and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary approaches to student care.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active New Mexico state licensure for occupational therapy.
• Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy services.
