A K-8 school located in Los Alamos, NM is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide specialized services within a school environment. This position is contract-based and available for the 2025-2026 school year, with the opportunity to begin as early as January 2026 through June 2026. The role is designed to accommodate flexible scheduling with services provided three days per week on any chosen days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to approximately 30 students ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade.
- Develop individualized service plans, goals, and interventions that support student participation and success in school activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom and school routines.
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to meet each student’s unique needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and federal regulations related to school-based therapy services.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with valid credentials to provide school-based services.
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to assess and treat diverse student needs using evidence-based interventions.
- Flexibility in scheduling to provide services any 3 days per week.
