Seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a part-time position focused on maternity leave coverage in an elementary school setting. This role is designed for the full semester, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young students.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with elementary students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Knowledge of sensory processing issues and therapeutic interventions
Location: Anoka, MN
Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation and assessment of students requiring occupational therapy
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student goals
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student development
- Deliver therapy in a flexible schedule, accommodating three days per week
