This opportunity is for an Occupational Therapist skilled in school-based settings to support middle school students in Minneapolis, MN. The role is a contract position spanning the current school year (CSY), designed for professionals experienced in pediatric and educational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to middle school students, addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to adjust therapy goals and interventions.
- Document and maintain compliance with all therapy-related regulations and school policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches supporting student success.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and credentials for practice in Minnesota.
- Experience delivering occupational therapy services in school settings, particularly with middle school populations.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and educational accommodations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
- Flexibility to work according to the school calendar and collaborate within an educational team environment.
