In this role, you will deliver occupational therapy interventions to help students reach their fullest potential academically, socially, and physically. Qualifications:
- Current licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric OT strongly preferred
- Solid grasp of IEP processes, documentation, and goal development
- Skilled in assessing functional and developmental needs of school-aged children
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Adaptability and a solutions-oriented mindset
Responsibilities:
- Perform assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support seamless integration of therapy into classroom activities
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports according to school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise to guide team decisions
- Educate school staff and families on strategies to support students’ functional independence
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in pediatric and school-based OT
