Qualifications:

  • Current licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
  • Prior experience in school-based or pediatric OT strongly preferred
  • Solid grasp of IEP processes, documentation, and goal development
  • Skilled in assessing functional and developmental needs of school-aged children
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Adaptability and a solutions-oriented mindset

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for students
  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services in accordance with students’ IEPs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support seamless integration of therapy into classroom activities
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports according to school policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise to guide team decisions
  • Educate school staff and families on strategies to support students’ functional independence
  • Stay current with best practices and continuing education in pediatric and school-based OT
