This contract-to-hire position offers a consistent weekly schedule, a diverse caseload spanning early childhood through high school, and the chance for an extended summer assignment.
Beginning as soon as possible and running through mid-June—with the potential for Extended School Year (ESY) services—this role is perfect for those desiring steady, impactful work in a collaborative environment. You’ll act as a key team player across multiple schools, working with a population of approximately 41 students aged 3 to 21.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to serve a diverse student population with varied needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Flexibility to travel between multiple school sites as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, direct therapy, and consultation services to students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student success
- Document student progress and adapt intervention strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain compliance with school policies and relevant regulations
This role offers approximately 21 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to 28 hours based on need. The workday typically starts at 8 am or as services are scheduled and concludes once the day's caseload has been met.
