An opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to support a K-12 educational environment in Mount Vernon, WA. This contract position requires an in-person presence for two days a week, totaling 14 hours, as you work with a small district of approximately 500 students across three school buildings located on the same block.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of IEPs and related regulations
Location: Mount Vernon, WA
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student needs
- Deliver therapeutic activities to enhance students’ fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
