An opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide full-time onsite services in an elementary school setting. This contract position spans the full school year and offers the chance to work closely with a focused caseload within a supportive educational environment.
Location: Williamsburg, VA, conveniently situated about one hour southeast of Richmond, near Newport News, and approximately one hour northwest of Norfolk.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 45 students.
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy techniques to meet evolving needs.
- Maintaining thorough documentation in compliance with district and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure appropriate for school-based practice.
- Experience working within elementary school environments preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, teachers, and families.
- Ability to manage a moderate caseload while delivering individualized care.
- Commitment to onsite service delivery throughout the contract period.
