Occupational Therapist School Setting in Newport News, VA

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic specialist to support students in an elementary school setting. This position is designed for the upcoming school year and will focus on providing therapeutic services to enhance the educational experiences of children requiring additional support.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
• Valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist
• Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and techniques

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
