A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide specialized in-home services for medically fragile students. This role supports K-12 students within the Norristown and Upper Merion areas, focusing on delivering targeted therapy in a school-related setting throughout the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-home occupational therapy services to medically fragile students, ensuring personalized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and healthcare providers to support student progress and well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Participate in regular communication and coordination to align therapy with educational goals.
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience working with medically fragile children or within educational settings preferred.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in home environments.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Location:
- Norristown and Upper Merion areas, Pennsylvania.
Hours and Duration:
- Per diem position requiring approximately 2 hours per week.
- Contract role for the current school year.
