An opportunity exists for a skilled candidate to provide essential support in a K-12 educational setting during the extended school year. This contract position is based in Emeryville, CA, and spans from June 23 to July 23, requiring the therapist to be on-site for 1.5 days each week, from 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of IEPs and relevant therapeutic practices in education

Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
- Assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate therapeutic goals into the classroom
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided
- Communicate progress and challenges with parents and educational staff
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
