A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized support in a K-12 school setting in Prestonsburg, KY. This contract position is set to start as soon as possible and will continue through the end of the current school year. The role primarily focuses on serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade, with additional responsibilities to support high school students who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students ages K-8 and select high school students requiring AAC support.
- Utilize expertise in home health OT, healthcare, teletherapy, and school-based therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Manage Medicaid billing processes accurately and efficiently in accordance with regulations.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in home health, healthcare, teletherapy, and school-based settings.
- Proven ability to work with pediatric populations, including students with AAC devices.
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the educational environment demands.
