An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist seeking to make a significant impact in an early childhood setting. This contract position in Freeport, IL, involves working full-time with a primarily early childhood caseload, providing essential therapeutic services to help students thrive in their classroom activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address students' needs in fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
  • Modify tasks and environments to support individual student requirements.
  • Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as needed.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive reports based on student assessments and observations.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to formulate and maintain IEP objectives and accommodations.
  • Communicate effectively regarding students’ developmental progress and necessary support strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois state license for Occupational Therapy.
  • Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work within a collaborative team.
  • Flexibility and problem-solving skills to adapt to changing needs.
  • Experience or specialization in school-based therapy is an asset.
