An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to provide part-time occupational therapy services in a K-12 school setting. This role is focused on supporting students across various sites within the district, ensuring that each child receives the necessary therapeutic interventions to enhance their educational experience.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
- Current State Occupational Therapy License or eligible to obtain licensure
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric therapy is preferred
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs
Location:
Jonesboro, LA
Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized therapy plans for students
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services as outlined in IEPs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to implement therapeutic strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
- Travel between multiple sites within the district to deliver services
