School Occupational Therapist

Job Description: We are currently hiring Occupational Therapists to work with multiple caseloads based on candidate preference. The ideal candidates will have experience working with children and adolescents in a school-based setting and possess strong clinical skills to address a variety of developmental and sensory needs. As a School Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students in achieving their academic and functional goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and other areas of occupational performance
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students both individually and in group settings
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment
- Provide consultation and support to parents/guardians regarding strategies to promote skill development and independence at home
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding students' occupational therapy needs
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating a variety of developmental and sensory needs
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
