Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Valid California licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Prior experience providing OT services in school settings strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Ability to assess and treat students with a variety of developmental, physical, and sensory processing challenges
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with teachers, staff, and families
  • Professional demeanor and strong organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized occupational therapy plans for students
  • Provide direct intervention and consultative support in both group and one-on-one sessions
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Adapt therapy methods and interventions to meet the specific needs of each student and classroom
  • Offer training and resources to school staff as appropriate
