Dedicated candidates are sought for multiple school-based openings in Gaithersburg, MD, for the upcoming school year. These positions span various grade levels, including elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as K–12 campus assignments.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state OT license or eligibility to obtain one
- NBCOT certification
- Experience in school-based therapy preferred, though not mandatory
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Location: Gaithersburg, MD
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and develop appropriate therapy goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to enhance student development and facilitate access to the learning environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations and insights
- Document student progress and maintain service logs in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory integration, and self-care tasks, along with adaptive strategies
- Provide consultation and training to staff as needed on occupational therapy practices
