A full-semester contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (.4 FTE) to provide itinerant services across two K-12 campuses located in Southfield, MI. This role is designed for a professional skilled in delivering occupational therapy services within a school setting, supporting students' developmental and educational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and interventions for students in a K-12 environment.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Manage a caseload across two distinct campuses, ensuring consistent therapy services.
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and regulatory standards.
- Adapt therapeutic techniques to support student participation and success within the school environment.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based settings.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy practices and educational requirements.
- Ability to work itinerantly across multiple campuses, effectively managing time and caseload.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families.
- Understanding of K-12 developmental milestones and challenges.
