Occupational Therapist School Setting in Sunnyvale, CA

This Occupational Therapist position offers a dynamic opportunity to support high school students across two sites in Sunnyvale, CA. With a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, the role focuses on delivering comprehensive therapy services throughout the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services, averaging 1500 minutes per month individually and 240 minutes in group settings.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 30 students, addressing diverse needs to promote functional and academic success.
• Collaborate with educational staff and families to develop, implement, and adjust individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and school guidelines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute professional expertise.

Desired Qualifications:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school settings, particularly with high school populations.
• Strong knowledge of therapy techniques appropriate for adolescents with varied challenges.
• Ability to manage case loads efficiently, prioritizing direct student interaction and effective documentation.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with educators, families, and students.

• Contract position with an expected duration from ASAP through the end of the school year.

• This role is open exclusively to Occupational Therapists; Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) will not be considered.
