Occupational Therapist School Setting in Van Nuys, CA

A full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) position is available at an elementary school in Van Nuys, CA. This contract role is for the current school year (CSY), offering an opportunity to support students’ developmental and functional goals within an educational setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing direct OT services to students to improve their participation and performance in school activities
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Assessing students' needs and creating tailored intervention plans
• Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records
• Adapting interventions to meet the diverse needs of elementary school children

Qualifications:

• Valid OT licensure and relevant certification
• Experience working in school-based occupational therapy settings
• Strong knowledge of childhood development and educational interventions
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and school staff
