An opportunity is available for skilled professionals specializing in occupational therapy within educational settings. This position focuses on providing essential therapy services to students across various grade levels in a dynamic K-12 environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license
- Experience in school-based therapy
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with IEPs and related documentation
- Supervision of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location:
- Hayti, South Dakota, with opportunities to serve across multiple school districts, including Huron, Brookings, and Watertown.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload, primarily ranging from pre-K to elementary students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement IEPs.
- Assess student needs and tailor therapy plans to support their individual goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required.
- Manage time effectively to meet the needs of students across six districts.
