An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support students in a K-12 educational setting in Cranston, RI. This contract position is designed for the 2025-2026 school year, focusing on delivering therapeutic services that enhance student learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong understanding of IEPs and the therapeutic needs of children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Location: Cranston, RI
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to integrate therapeutic goals into the classroom
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of therapy services
- Educate and support families regarding therapy processes and strategies for at-home practice
