An opportunity exists for an experienced Occupational Therapist to contribute to a dynamic educational environment in Clear Lake, SD. This position offers the unique advantage of flexibility in choosing your preferred location within the 24 districts the co-op serves.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and support personnel.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Supervision experience of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is preferred.

Location: Clear Lake, SD, with the option to work across various districts including Huron, Brookings, and Watertown.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to a diverse caseload, primarily focusing on Pre-K to elementary students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and other healthcare professionals.
  • Assess student needs and progress through appropriate evaluation tools and methods.
  • Maintain documentation of services provided and progress made.
  • Supervise and support a COTA, ensuring continuity of care and professional development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and join virtually as needed.
