This opportunity is for an Occupational Therapist providing services to PreK-12th grade students in a K-12 school setting. The position runs from January 20, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with a contract duration aligning with the current school year. The role is based in Waynesville, NC, and involves a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to students’ needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall educational plan.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials.
- Experience working in school-based settings or familiarity with pediatric occupational therapy.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with school staff and families.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfortable providing therapy in various settings, including potential teletherapy.
