A skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to provide specialized in-home services for medically fragile students in the Norristown and Upper Merion areas. This per diem contract role focuses on delivering therapeutic support within the K-12 school setting, ensuring students receive tailored care to enhance their daily living and educational participation.
Location: West Chester, PA (Norristown/Upper Merion areas)
Job Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
Schedule: Approximately 2 hours per week (per diem)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-home occupational therapy services to medically fragile students across K-12 grade levels
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals as needed to promote autonomy and school participation
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with relevant regulations
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with relevant state credentials
- Experience working with medically fragile pediatric populations in home or school settings
- Strong understanding of K-12 educational environments and therapy integration
