Occupational Therapist School Setting - West Columbia, SC

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced candidate seeking to make a meaningful impact within a K-12 school setting in West Columbia, SC. This full-time position offers a unique chance to work across various grade levels, primarily focusing on a diverse caseload of approximately 27 students, ranging from K-6th grade to one high schooler. The role is scheduled to run from August 1, 2025, to May 29, 2026, with the possibility of additional planning days as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in South Carolina
• Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs effectively
• Previous experience as the sole OT in a district is a plus

Location:

• West Columbia, SC

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students based on their individual needs
• Collaborate with educational staff and other specialists to support student IEPs
• Assess and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as required
• Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student outcomes
• Participate in team meetings and advocate for student needs regarding therapy materials and resources
