Occupational Therapist School Setting in Woodbridge, VA

This position is for a contract occupational therapist serving K-12 school-aged children in a school setting located in Woodbridge, VA. The role focuses on providing compensatory occupational therapy services to support students’ educational needs from the start date through the end of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy evaluations and interventions tailored to children from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade
• Provide compensatory services as part of students’ individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and functional goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies and state regulations
• Communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care and support student success

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with experience in school-based settings preferred
• Familiarity with providing compensatory occupational therapy services
• Ability to work with a diverse range of students from ages 4 to 18
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to handle multiple cases and adapt to changing student needs
