This opportunity is for Autism Support Interventionists to provide direct, hands-on assistance to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in both specialized and inclusive school settings across Carbon and Lehigh Counties, Pennsylvania. The role focuses on behavior support, academic progress, and social-emotional development within K-12 education environments, following the school calendar through June 2026.
Location: Carbon & Lehigh County, PA
Schedule: Approximately 32.5–35 hours per week
Duration: Contract through June 12, 2026 (tentative)
Settings: Enhanced Autism programs and elementary schools within the region
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-on-one or small group support for students with ASD
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) under guidance from teachers and behavior specialists
- Collect and record data on student behavior, IEP goal attainment, and instructional methods
- Assist students during transitions, routines, and sensory breaks
- Apply evidence-based strategies such as ABA, PECS, visual schedules, and social stories
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured classroom atmosphere
- Work collaboratively with educational and therapeutic teams for consistent communication
- Support personal care needs when necessary, including toileting, hygiene, and feeding
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Education, Psychology, ABA, Social Behavior, or a related field; an Associate’s degree with at least 1 year (ideally 3 years) of relevant experience considered
- In-depth knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and behavioral intervention techniques
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during behavioral incidents, including elopement or aggression
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Dependable, team-oriented, and able to maintain professional boundaries

- Submission must include one completed role supervisor reference check
