Instructional Assistant - Anaheim, CA

Supporting student transportation with care and attention is essential for a positive school experience. We are seeking two Bus Aides to assist during the remainder of the 25/26 school year on a contract basis. This role focuses on providing safe, supportive transportation assistance to students in a K-12 environment.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Approximately 3 hours per day, 15 hours per week
• Hours: 90 minutes in the morning (between 6:30 am and 8:30 am) and 90 minutes in the afternoon (between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm)
• Duration: Immediate start through May 29, 2026, with a strong possibility of contract renewal for the 26/27 school year including summer session (ESY)
• Caseload: Supporting 1:1 or 2:1 student-to-aide ratio during bus transportation
• Location: Seattle, WA and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students safely on and off the bus during morning and afternoon routes
• Ride with the student between home and school to provide supervision and support
• Collaborate closely with the bus driver and follow established safety protocols
• Utilize verbal de-escalation techniques to maintain a calm and secure environment
• Support students with special needs during transportation, ensuring comfort and safety
• Prefer candidates familiar with the student’s bus route or prior bus riding experience with students

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with special needs preferred
• Strong verbal de-escalation and communication skills
• Willingness to support students in a 1:1 or 2:1 setting on the school bus
• Paraprofessional certification or Certified Nursing Assistant credentials are welcome
• Dependable and punctual with a commitment to student well-being
