Supporting student growth in an elementary school setting, this role seeks a dedicated individual skilled in paraprofessional support and behavior specialist practices. The position is based in Berthoud, CO, and operates on a contract basis during the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering educational support tailored to student needs.
- Implement behavior intervention strategies under the guidance of certified professionals.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to educators and parents.
- Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Utilize Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) techniques to de-escalate challenging situations effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a paraprofessional, ideally with behavior specialist expertise.
- Valid Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification is required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with educators and families.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to supporting children’s development.
Location:
- Elementary school in Berthoud, Colorado.
Compensation:
- Hourly wage ranging between $17 and $23, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
