A school district in Billerica, MA is seeking a dedicated paraprofessional to support an elementary school’s severe needs program, including Autistic Support services. This contract position runs from ASAP through June 2026, providing essential assistance to students requiring specialized care and attention.

Responsibilities:

  • Support students with severe needs and autism within the classroom setting
  • Implement programming designed by certified staff and behavior specialists
  • Assist with daily academic and social activities from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote a positive learning environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in school settings, especially in special education or behavior support roles
  • Familiarity with ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) methodologies and strategies
  • Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors and implement individualized support plans
  • Commitment to student growth and development
