Parapro | Blue Springs, Missouri

A temporary paraprofessional position is available to support an elementary school in Blue Springs, MO, covering a maternity leave. This contract role spans from January 6th through March 27th, working approximately 35 hours per week, from 9:00 AM to 4:25 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom activities under the guidance of certified staff
• Assist students with educational and behavioral needs in a structured environment
• Implement strategies aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning atmosphere
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to monitor and report student progress

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Substitute or Paraprofessional certification issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE); alternatively, certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with current BACB credentials
• Experience working as a paraprofessional in K-12 educational settings preferred
• Ability to engage effectively with elementary-aged children
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation and availability to complete required background checks and drug screenings promptly

Additional Details:
