Support a high school student with individualized assistance as a paraprofessional in a full-time, short-term contract position within a Georgia school district. This role involves working one-on-one with a student transitioning away from requiring support, making it an ideal opportunity for those experienced with low-disorder caseloads and committed to fostering student independence.

Location:

  • LaFayette, GA (LaFayette High School)

Contract Duration:

  • February 6th, 2026 to May 22nd, 2026
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a high school student
  • Assist with academic and social skill development tailored to the student’s needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement individualized strategies
  • Monitor student progress and adapt support as necessary throughout the assignment
  • Prepare the student for increasing independence from paraprofessional support

Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Paraprofessional Educator Certification preferred
  • Candidates without certification will be considered but must have the certification pending prior to start
  • Experience working with high school students in a paraprofessional or similar role
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism
