An educational paraprofessional position is available at a middle school in Edwards, CO, for the current school year on a contract basis. This role primarily supports students in the classroom, including specialized 1:1 assistance to help meet individual student needs.
Key qualifications and experience:
- Previous experience working as a paraprofessional in school settings
- Ability to provide individualized support in a 1:1 environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development
- Understanding of middle school student dynamics and age-appropriate instructional strategies
Essential responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers with implementing lesson plans and activities
- Provide one-on-one support to students requiring additional guidance and assistance
- Help monitor student progress and behavior throughout the school day
- Support inclusive learning environments by adapting materials and techniques as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other staff to promote student success
