A full-time Paraprofessional position is available to support a high school student with autism for the current school year, starting ASAP through June 2026. This role is based in a high school setting located in the Hanover, NH area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a high school student with autism.
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, including discrete trials and behavior interventions.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior consistently.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment tailored to the student's needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have prior experience working as a paraprofessional in a school setting.
- Strong background in ABA, specifically discrete trial training and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to work effectively with high school students on the autism spectrum.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to supporting student growth and promoting independence.
Work Schedule and Duration:
- Full-time position requiring 32.5 to 35 hours per week.
- Employment contract extends through the current school year up to June 2026.
